Reflection#

Reflection :)

First of all, I would like to thank Ms Dora for all her care and help before our trip, during our trip and after our trip. You're a great lecturer and have provided us great guidance that helped us stay safe and happy :)

To all my peers: Thank you for being such great friends and for those whom I didn't already know, it was great knowing you :) I had an awesome time and I look forward to seeing you in school! All the best in whatever you do in future!

To the people who always traveled with me: Hi! Thank you for taking care of me and going around with me. It was fun! LOL (I shall not say too much cause this feels weird.. )

To my Roommate, Elise: You're the one who always had to put up with me even though I am childish and whatnot. LOL. But it was fun being with you for two whole weeks. Sometimes, I talk to Ceasar, and I am a bit creepy at times. But thank you for er.. not judging me. :) It was awesome. Thank You!

My Tiger! I am thankful for having him by my side! (Even though he's a soft toy.. ) But he reminds me of someone! :) He kinda helped because being alone in a foreign country gets quite lonely at times. He's always there to be with me.

All in all, I am thankful for this opportunity to be able to travel to London. I have learnt a whole lot of new things and I would be sure to carry these memories around with me, no matter where I might be in future. I have made great friends out of people and I am grateful for the times that I had.

See You! :)

Day Thirteen#

Day Thirteen

Today is our last day here! :( I have mixed feelings about leaving here and going home. For one the weather here is really nice, albeit cold at times. But I have my friends and family at Singapore! I have decided that I am happy to go home!

It was quite hectic, going places to finish my last minute shopping. We walked from the Hotel to Oxford Street and back again, to see if there's anything we can buy!

We found this limited edition bar. Yorkie! With HoneyComb.. I wondered if it would be nice.

It turned out really nice though! :)

On the way to the hotel. Front seat! YEAH!

On the way there, we were chatting about horoscopes and stuff. It's really interesting! :)

At the airport

I couldn't get a clear shot because Ms Dora was rushing us to move faster. Ahaha!

In my boredom, I dressed my tiger up and played with him! :) It was fun. LOL :X I am childish, huh? :)

HOME SWEET HOME!

Day Twelve#

Day Twelve

Today, I had the chance to explore a different part of London.

First up was the presentation! I think everyone did really well on their research and presentations. Job Well Done! I heaved a sigh of relief. Our work here now is almost done, and we would have the time to play around! ~

My Group :) Preparing for Presentation

DKLW

DKLW was indeed an eye opener. The place was magnificent and really high-class. Even their toilets were really clean and decorated.

The Process

They showed us a series of advertisements that they produced. I was remarkably amazed. There's one advertisement that struck me. It was this Charitable Advertisement they did where it showcased a futuristic advertising technology. It featured African women who want to start their own business. People who pass by the place can choose to donate to help them. They would be required to send their name to the screen where it would print their name as in "Thank You, (Your Name)".

Once they donated, a few coins will drop into the screen to make up the person's face. Once they have enough funding to fund the start of a business, the whole face of the person would be visible in the screen. It's super cool!

We were introduced to the process from the client brief to the end product. There are a lot of work and teamwork involved in order to make an end product from scratch.  Hmm, maybe I would like to be in this line in future... ? Ahaha, just kidding :)

Look at their chairs!

Their chairs are really classy as well. It's cushiony and made of this special material (I don't know what material).

Our day was filled with talks and presentations. Next, we have the talk from the owner of any friends of ours.

The website, any friend of ours

The speaker, Ms Jo Goodson

The speaker was extremely entrepreneurial. She started this business with a small thought in her mind that she wants to rent her villa to her friends and relatives. It has become quite the business now. All the best to her future endeavors! :)

I have learnt quite a lot today, from the presentations from my peers, the talk from DKLW and any friend of ours. Today was a fruitful day!

Gooodnight :)

Day Eleven#

Day Eleven

Tomorrow's our presentation! My group and I decided to rehearse for a bit.

Brunswick, A nice place to shop :)

We went to Brunswick, somewhere near the hotel. There were River Island, GAP, Office, and blabla! I bought Fred Perry shoes! I don't usually spend so much but.. The shoes were nice.

Check it Out!

Pub + Bowling + Restaurant + Pool place under our hotel!

We went to this place to try out their pizza! Their service is veeeery slow, and they seemed like they are really short of staff. Their pizza are super huge size and their drink was not bad :) Five of us shared 2 pizzas and it was just nice! I would definitely love to go there again.

YUM YUM!

Oh yeah, We wanted to go to the Singapore Cultural Club event, but we realized that we didn't know how to go. So we decided to skip that instead. It might have been nice to check it out though.

Goodnight!

Day Ten#

Day Ten

Ah! It's Tuesday again. It's the school-day again! Dry Lectures, again! I hope I won't fall asleep!

This is the Marketing Class. Notice how I was in the corner of the room? So tempting to fall asleep. Zzz.

Mr Huang, the Business Analytics Lecturer

He was lecturing about Mode, Median and Mean! Honestly speaking, I didn't think that those would have anything to do with Business Analytics. Nevertheless, he has piqued my interest in BA. Looking forward to the module next year!

Afterward, it's to PRIMARK! Again. I saw this TIGER costume and this.. cute shoes! I wanted to get it! But, Ohwell, Zhong Meng was saying no one would wear it.. (Come to think of it, I wouldn't wear it either)

Dinner was to Burger King!

Frankly speaking, you wouldn't see me in a Singapore Burger King very often. But I think London's Burger King is not bad. Bonus point is that they provide Mayonnaise and Chili! MacDonald used to provide those, but they stopped giving mayonnaise some time back :( Mayonnaise and Chili is the best combination ever!

Family Guy

LOL. One thing with my room mate, Elise and I is that we watch Family Guy almost every night. It's a tad crude but it's funny :X We'd just lounge in our room, and laugh out loud. A nice way to end the day, i'd say :)

Day Nine#

Day Nine

Well, Today is the day we got to have the whole day to ourselves. However, we are supposed to do some project discussion to kick start our project! My Group - The Marketing Group (CLAPS!) decided to make our way to Starbucks to do a brief market research!

Each of us took a picture with our Starbucks drink!

Afterward, we went back to the hotel to do the slides and everything. We were rushing cause we wanted to go SHOPPING!

On our way to Covent Garden, we entered Crumpler and Chester bought some stuff there. We found this really cute thing which was FREE as well! (Pardon my Cheapskate-ness! LOL)

Crumpler matchstick (It's really small!)

Tada! Covent Garden

I saw this really cute clock! But I think it was around 20 pounds or something, SO EXPENSIVE :O !

It's a really nice shopping place, but to me, the things sold there are more expensive. The goods sold there are mostly branded.

We went around searching for halal food for our dinner, but we were having great difficulty in finding one halal restaurant. So we decided to settle for this.. Cafe.

I have really sweet tooth, so I ended up having Hot Chocolate and a Chocolate Cookie. They both tasted tasteless to me though :(

Oh! One thing about London is that they don't really put many rubbish bins around. Richard told us that it's already better than it was before. However, Singapore has so many bins around! I am so used to having bins to throw my trash in everywhere I go! Hahaha! I just have to adapt, don't I? :(

Goodnight! :)

Day Eight#

Day Eight#

Day 8 was to Camden Market. It was a beautiful Sunday, and Sundays are for Camden Market! Heard that there were supposed to be over a thousand shops open! So excited!

One thing about Camden Market is that I think the shops basically sell the same things. The things are quite expensive too! So I didn't buy much stuff there.

We found this amazing place called - Simply Fish!

One of the nicest meal I've had :)

The 99 Pence store, where everything in it is sold at 99 pence! What a steal!

There it is! I lugged a whole lot of stuff back to the hotel!

Well, today was a short day! After ward, we went to Oxford Street to do some shopping! I bought a River Island Wallet! It's really cheaper here than it is in Singapore!

Dinner at Wasabi

Wasabi was really nice! :) Nicer than the Japanese Canteen. It was even nicer because it was cold out and their curry was HOT! I would like to try it again sometime. Would it come to Singapore? I surely hope so.

I am going for a good night's sleep. Goodnight
                                                           xoxo

Day Seven#

Day Seven

Today, we had the De Wei Tour! We planned to go onto the Big Bus Tour and tour around London. But to our horror, we realized that Saturday wasn't a really good day to go onto the bus. People had to stand on the second deck. So De Wei decided to be our navigator and brought us around. (Well, he's the best in navigating)

First up, London Eye!

Group Photo with the London Eye

Oh, that reminds me! There are quite a lot of street performers in London, as compared to Singapore. And in London, they are more used to asking people to donate to them more than Singaporeans do.

They were all amazing! So talented! I wonder if they are happy doing all those though. Like, if they were office people instead, they wouldn't be able to showcase their talents like that. But, it's really hard being a street performer, because your takings really depends on the generosity of the people that were watching you that day.

Ice cream Treat :D

Big Ben! HOHO! A must-go when you visit London!

Really Exquisite

It was sunny when we went there. And imagine that! The Big Ben was literally sparkling under the sunlight. IT SPARKLES! Once in the lifetime View! LOL, unless I go to the Big Ben again sometime :X

Spectacular

We walked past this place, and there were people queuing up. We were curious and saw that from the spot, you could take a picture such as this! Me & Elise

We strolled through St James Park to get to the Buckingham Palace. The weather was just right, and it was just... nice :)

The angel outside the Palace

The Buckingham Palace

I climbed all the way up! and took a picture with the Lion!

DOG ALERT! BULLDOG BTW! :D But the dog looks like it doesn't wanna get hugged by me :( OH WELL i am still happy LOL.

At night, it was to Hamley's! SO MANY TOYS! :) :) Children's Heaven.

HOHO, Mr Bear is my friend :)

That's all!
      xoxo
